Unknown Gunmen Attack Anambra Community, Five Killed
Five person’s where gruesomely killed when some group of unknown gunmen attacked
two different communities in two different local government areas in Anambra state
the gruesome incident which occurred in the early hours of Monday, 18th November, 2024
lead to the loose of life and properties.
It was recorded that the very heavily armed gunmen, was said to be enforcing the sit at home
order stormed the Abatete community in Idemili North Local Government Area, targeting security personnel attached to the town’s President-General.
Some confidential sources in the area reported that three security men were shot and killed during
an exchange of gunfire.
The president general of the community is in critical condition and in the hospital, due to injuries,
from the hit.
The armed hoodlums invaded the community in the early hours of Monday. this endless violence has left
the community shaking, one of the sources said, and we also pray for our PG’S quick recovery.
In another turn of separate event, some gunmen attacked the Ukpo community at the Ukpo roundabout
in dunukofia local Government Area of the state, killing one vigilante operative member and a
motorcycle rider.
it was a chaotic event, the attackers came out of no where in a terminator like style and started shooting
anyhow and everywhere, an eye witness said.
A police source who pleaded anonymity confirmed the incident.
“The police have launched an investigation into the attacks and are working to apprehend the perpetrators.
“We condemn these gruesome acts and assure the public that we will do everything possible to bring the culprits to justice.”
It was gathered that both incidents were said to have occurred within an hour interval, with the first attack happening at 8am in Abatete and the second at 8.45am at Ukpo Roundabout. A peace full village in dunukofia local government of Anambra state
